Frank M. Crowder Jr.
Chief Executive Officer
Frank M. Crowder Jr. is the Founder, President and CEO of Defense Consulting Services (DCS), LLC, a company he launched in 2011, intending to provide exceptional consulting services to the U.S. government, municipalities, and private industry at affordable rates. With 22 years of experience as a Security Forces member in the USAF, Mr. Crowder retired as a Chief Master Sergeant, the pinnacle rank for an AF enlisted member.
During his extensive Air Force career, Mr. Crowder gained a unique understanding of the Law Enforcement and Force Protection industries while performing various roles and functions. He has extensive experience in physical security, information security, counterintelligence, training, antiterrorism, nuclear security, WMD, and technology protection. He has led numerous initiatives in these areas, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and facilities across various DoD installations.
Mr. Crowder's academic pursuits furthered his expertise in these fields. He holds a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and a Bachelor of Arts in Security Management, which provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of national security and the means to mitigate risks.
In founding DCS, Mr. Crowder leveraged his extensive experience and entrepreneurial instincts to assemble a team of security and professional service experts dedicated to providing clients with the highest-quality of consulting services.

Pamela Crowder
Director Strategic Alliances
Pamela Crowder is the Director of Strategic Alliances and Managing Member at Defense Consulting Services, LLC (DCS). Her role involves managing the overall daily office operations of the company. She oversees community outreach initiatives, proposal development, and DCS strategic direction. Pamela's exceptional management skills and experience in the security and education industries enable her to steer the company's growth.
Pamela began her professional journey after graduating from Arizona State University in 1989. She served in the United States Air Force for four years in Security Forces. Pam developed Barksdale AFB's Crime Prevention Program in this role, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the security industry. She then began a 21-year teaching career, where she served as a Co-Department Chair, Literacy Leader, and Testing Coordinator, which honed her leadership and communication skills.
Pamela holds a Master's in Project Management, specializing in Human Resources. The company's success has been attributed to her ability to manage complex processes and navigate government contracts. An active Alpha Tau Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member, Pamela is a valued member of DCS's Executive Team.
Grant M. Hargrove
Chief Operating Officer
Grant Hargrove is the Chief Operating Officer at Defense Consulting Services (DCS), LLC. Prior to DCS, Grant retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel, where he held strategic program management and executive leadership roles in a variety of large organizations and interagency teams executing diverse national security missions worldwide.
Grant brings tremendous expertise in anti-terrorism, force protection, industrial security, law enforcement, and counterinsurgency operations with over 24 years of military service as a Security Forces officer. He has a Master’s degree in Strategic Security Studies from National Defense University, Defense Analysis – Terrorist Operations & Finance from Naval Postgraduate School, and Security Management from Webster University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement/Police Science from Sam Houston State University.
Michelle Martin, CPA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Michelle Martin serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Defense Consulting Services, LLC with accountability for the financial operations of the company to include the development of financial and operational metrics tied to the company’s strategy vision and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Before being named CFO, Martin gained extensive expertise during her over 25 year career in corporate accounting for various Fortune 500 companies. She brings a wealth of progressive finance and accounting experience with particular strengths in the areas of financial reporting and analysis, internal controls design and maintenance, budgeting and forecasting, and internal and external auditing. Martin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Professional Accounting degree from Mississippi State University.
